Nefertiti was the wife of the Pharaoh, Akhenaten, who was the founder of the cult of Aten, the One God, who resided in the sun. Nefertiti was an important part of a rebellion against the old Egyptian religion.  She was said to be the most beautiful woman of the age, and her face is still one of the best known of the ancient world. On the stone carving of the period, her face appears twice as often as her husband.  She was a Queen of many names.  They included: Great of Favor, Mistress of Sweetness, Mistress of the Upper and Lower Realms, the Great King’s Wife Whom He Adores, and the Lady of the Two Lands.  Nefertiti was a woman of power.  Her legacy remains to this day and her face can be seen all over the world.
